Mr. Wash,
You were a great human being. Your patience with us was always appreciated. You were an excellent teacher who had a passion for what you taught. What I learned from you, not just about auto tech, but about being a good person will always be with me. May you rest in peace.

Mr. Wash, you were the first teacher I had to help me realize that I didn't know everything, and not just about cars, but about being a decent human being. You always put me in my place when I was late or disrespectful, and for four of my most impressionable years, you set a strong example of how to be kind without getting taken advantage of, which was a unique combination to me at the time.

I've thought back to you many times over the years, and even tried to bump into you at CHS a year or two ago, though you were long-since retired. I can't begin now to tell you how much of a difference you made in my life by being such a positive role model. I only wish I took high school more seriously so I could've said as much while you were still alive.

So let me just say now, you were a good teacher and a good man, and you will be missed. Rest in peace, Mr. Wash.

May you have comfort in the memories of your loved one. (2 Corinthians 1:3, 4) The
Bible gives a real hope of being reunited again with your loved one. It promises that
your loved one will soon come back to life in the resurrection to a peaceful paradise
on the earth. (John 5:28, 29)

Sincerely,

S. Ellis
